Mug manufacturer's description: Dish washer and microwave safe (some loss of vividness can arise if the print is exposed to too much bright light and heat, the protective film can also lose its luster if washed too frequently in harsh dishwasher cycles). The tile is colorfast (unless exposed to strong sunlight) and heat resistant. Each tile is signed and dated on the back and can be framed as a wall hanging, used as a trivet, or used as an accent tile in an area of ceramic wall tiles. (It is not suitable for use as a floor tile). Use several different tiles for a backsplash behind a sink or for special accents in a tiled wall. For a wall hanging or trivet, various types of wooden, cork or metal frames are available to use with the tile (not included with tile purchase) or it may be hung directly with a plate or tile hanger (not included). The tile comes with small bumpers on the back to protect surfaces on which it is placed when used as a trivet. These may be removed easily for use as a wall tile.
